Leigh Bowery was an Australian artist first and foremost, but also a fashion designer. The late Bowery was an icon who performed mostly in the 1980's and early 90's in London and New York. His work was often controversial, but it mad epeople think of how we viewed the world and our place in it. Bowery just couldn't help but influence many a fashion designer, from Alexander McQueen to Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, amongst many other designers to this day. Sadly, he passed in 1994 at age 33.
